Castaway is a 3-day weekend retreat experience for youth in grades 9-12. Youth from our diocese have been participating in this retreat for 50 years. Castaway 2025 is March 28-30 at the YoungLife - Castaway Camp near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
5 Different Talks throughout the weekend by the speaker with Small Group time afterwards to debrief!
Lots of Food & Hospitality… trust me, you won’t go hungry!
Sacraments: Mass, Adoration, and Confession time!
Activities: Gagaball, foosball, pool, shuffleboard, board games, climbing wall (weather permitting), open gym, silent disco, skits, coffee shop, etc.
Cabin sleeping arrangements.
Coach Bus transportation
Meet over 200 other teens from across the St. Cloud Diocese!

Registration Fee:
All participants must complete their Permission Clicks registration and submit the $200 registration fee Kelly by February 5, 2025. If you are purchasing Castaway clothing, the additional costs must also be submitted by this date. After February 5, the registration fee will increase to $220 per participant. Fees are transferable but non-refundable, except in cases of health-related circumstances. After February 5, available spaces may open up, and at that time, we will evaluate whether new registrations will be accepted.

There are scholarships available if your family is in need of financial assistance.

You can add clothing fee to your registration fee and write one check payable to SMHOC. Clothing orders have to be submitted by Feb. 5th.

Work Crew & Chaperones Needed
We are also seeking adults to join the work crew! This is a wonderful opportunity to grow in fellowship with other Catholics while preparing meals and providing hospitality throughout the weekend. Additionally, we need chaperones to accompany the teens during the weekend. It's a great chance to make new friends, take a break, and serve others!
